hipers will be the last set of wheels youll ever buy plus if something were to ever break you can buy just that part to fix it

I think thats the hardest choice, I don't think you would ever distroy a shamrock either, They are bullet proof. I like hipers also, but shamrock (particularly the fronts) Look just plain sick!! with a nice billet hub. my choice would be hiper rear and sham front

Here is what I picked. I think they look pretty sick with billet front hubs too! You cant go wrong with the Douglas.

hipers...and when the rings wear out they are 25 bucks to replace them. gives the wheel a NEW look again.

If you have the cash, go with hipers.

Some black hipers would look good. I have not ran the shamrocks but it is still an aluminum wheel and aluminum bends so the whole well will need replaced. The nice thing about the hipers is that the rim is a modular design and can be replaced in pieces instead of buying a new rim.

If you have the cash go with hipers. I like the idea of hipers in back and shamrocks up front though i think thats what im going to do in the future.

At least get Hiper rears b/c they have dual bolt pattern so you can run them on a Honda or Yamaha. :muscle:

Franky G,

Looks like we have the same Nac's color scheme going, so here's some pics of mine to give you an idea. The stock fronts are still holding up fine for MXing, so I haven't changed them yet. I'll probably go with black-ringed Hiper fronts when the time comes

if you want "bling" go with the shamrocks if u want black go with hiper. Both are good wheels, and either one you can replace the rings cheap and give them a new look

there are going to be slight differences between mine and yours, but we think alike on alot of things, at least thatis what our wives say. there are already a lot of differences too, there will be more...

I invested in the Douglas Ultimate Billet Beadlocks back in early 1999... Loved the look of them. Unfortunately, after several hard landings with my big butt... The rear wheels received "flat spots", and are no longer true.:( Personally, I really like the counter sunk mounting holes, like that on the stock rims, and the look of the aluminum rims.

When it came time for another set of rims and tires... I went with HiPers with red rings back in 2000. Still have those rims... And they received more punishment from me than the Douglas rims... Still true and holding up! Yes, I did replace the rings, and yes, the red rings will fade.

Not sure if the "Shamrocks" are designed any different than Ultimate Billet Beadlocks, as for durability.

Again, I like the look of the aluminum rims versus the black, but since I have had the HiPers, I can not see me making the switch.

Good luck!

Looks great! Wow... Not used to seeing 8" rims!

Well, since you asked, what do you think of those "colored" tires? I saw blue, red, yellow, and camoflauge at a dealership. I think the blue ones would look trick on yours!:macho
