I know it doesn't belong in this section, but since I know alot of the guys in here, I thought I'd share. I have done the unthinkable, I bought a BANSHEE. :huh It's a little rough, but I got a killer deal on it. I could probably sell it as-is and make a decent buck on it, but since the resto R is done, maybe I'll make a project out of it. Don't bash me too badly:uhoh:

I have seen a guy mut a banshee motor into a stock R frame. I bet that sounds enticing.:D

That would be pretty cool if they could make everything fit and not make it look like too much of a half breed

Wow... I'd like to get my hands on one of those. I think I'll try and make one if I can get ahold of a decent 250R motor; there is an old Banshee motor sitting in my garage somewere from my bro's quad (he had a backup motor).

I'm not too sure about them honshee frames. I haven't done a whole lot of research, but I'm wondering exactly how much like a 250r it truly is.

There's more to the 250r geometry than just using the A-arms, shocks, and axle. I wonder if it has the exact same rake on the A-arms, the same swingarm and shock angles, and the weight bias.

The banshee has a funny relationship between the seat and handlebars. (look at people riding banshees, especially at low speeds. Everybody else leans foward towards the handlebars, but banshee riders sit up, straight as a ruler, like they have a pole stuck up their rear) If the honshee frame uses the banshee plastics, I can't see this changing.

the geom is exactly like the 250r, that honshee has a lsr frame, all 250r a-arms 250r steering stem and swingarm parts only banshee stuff is the plastics and motor.

the rake is the same.

laeger made this frane setup as well with a tpin(r) front end.

the only differentce is there is more weight from the motor

doc came right off a walsh and rode this honshee and pretty much said its like an R its a lil diff but its still close enough and 10 times better then banshee geom lol

the 250R geometry banshees are some of the sweetest bikes out there IMO. i would love to have one some day. theres something about banshees that i just love. there hard to ride handle like turds. but wow are they fun. my bro had a really built up 75hp+ banshee that was his woods bike for a couple years. (he put in some good seat time on my R and bought his own R 3 days later). hes 5 times faster now on a bike making half the HP but i miss the banshee sometimes. there so...scary:devil:

not without putting the radiator somewhere screwy. i like the way banshees look, they have character.
