Sorry to post this here but I am getting 2 different answers from everyone.

I am putting a kill switch on my kfx400. I have the 1 wire going to a ground and another going to the coil. Does the wire need to go to the pulse wire (black wire) or can it go to the wire on the other side of the coil (black and white wire)

The only reason I ask is because it would be alot easier to put it on the black and white wire because it is just a ring terminal. I know there are posts on Z400 central but it seems like it will work either way. I just dont want to burn anything up. Hopefully this isnt to confusing. Thanks in advance!

the black and white wire is most likely your coil

Aye.. if they are using anyhting resembling standard wiring.. the solid black wire should be a chassis ground. So you're kill switch would just be grounding a ground wire. ;) Not gonna do much for ya...

The black wire is not the ground wire. It grounds through the mounting bolt. the black wire is the pulse wire according to the schematic
