dont bore it out, or put any more work into it. not worth it at all. you could buy every mod in the world for it and it probablly wouldnt even come close to a stock 400ex. used 400exs are really cheap, your best bet is to get one of those.

400 by far. You'll regret modding a 250ex all to heck. 400 would still spank it.

250 big bore kit from powroll with full exuast is great, but will never out perform a stock 400 depends on what type of riding u do lots of mud holes build the 250 b/c of the shaft drive 4 open trails and speed get the 400 or just do both its just money

I have a 91 250x 12:1 wiseco,cam,dg pipe,jet,k&n with outerwear. it will run with a 300 but 400 stock will hand it its @ss

if you were to mod the 250 i would go with suspension before motor. If you have the option go with the 400. Suspension and power will always be better.
