how do i take the bearings out of the swingarm where the pivot bolt goes? Or do i not need to take those out to powder the swingarm?

first u tap the pivot thrust bushings out with a punch then u remove the needle bearings with a small blind-hole puller and a slide hammer.sorry if your confused but yea they do need to come out.

If you use a hammer to take them out, you will damage them. Use a socket, roughly the same size, and press them out in a press.

yea but the hammer i posted slides on a rod and u slide the weight back and forth untill the bearing comes loose. the rod has an attachment on the end with little fingers on it and u put the fingers on the bearing and u pull back and forth untill it comes loose thats what u do according to my haynes workshop manual.but if the socket works go for it.
