Help me, what is the stator

Please tell me what the stator is and what it does, can you post a picture of it. Thanks someone please at least tell me what it is/does.

the stator is on the oposite side of your clutch on your case, in most cases the left side if your on the bike. it has magnets on it that cause the spark plug to spark. it also charges the battery when the bike is running

The stator generates current to run and maintain the electrical system , much like the alternator on your truck :cool:
