400 carb on 250X [Archive] - ATV Riders Forum

iwhat jets to use for a 400 carb with my mods. im about 1000 feet above sea lever or should i just use dial a jet. just a ball park estimate and will the boots work or do i have to use other boots.thanks jake

I would start w/ the stock one which I think is a 148, I had a 400 carb on my 300ex w/ mods & was running around a 150 I think, we even tried the 148 until the carb broke :( it's a great mod for these lil quads though!!
BTW I am also around 500'-1000' level :)

thanks man, did you have about the smae mods as me and what boots did you use, stock ones?

I used the stock 300 boot I just boiled it in hot water for a few minutes & then stuck it on there!! As for mods I have a high comp piston, hardened rockers, cam, FMF full system & some porting work done :)
