CD-RW Burner???

Well my burner finaly took a poop....:( . It sucks anyway. It was a 24x CD Read and 8x burner. Now my question is, how do I know if this cd drive is compatible with my PC. I have a HP Pavilion 8670c with Windows XP.

that burrner will work just fine with any system.
i do suggest going and buying a dvd-rw though. for the 20 dollars more you will be up to date and will be able to read and write any type disk
