Ya I would use bubble wrap if I were you, thats what my subframe was wrapped in when it arrived.

Alright thanks,

What about a company? Which shipping company generally charges the lowest rate.

USPS probably, but I dunno if they would ship that big of a thing. Try that or ups.

Yea me and my friend just shipped out 2 250r frames and UPS had the best shipping rate. We just used syran wrap. Usually works the best.

I recentely shipped out an 87 250R frame. UPS was outrageous on their price quote, and I brought it into them to doublecheck. Fedex was almost $60 cheaper and they got it there 2 days before UPS would. First off, I don't know if you need to be this careful with the paint, My frame was freshly powdercoated and I didn't want to risk having it chipped up on the way there. I took huge chunks of cardboard and bent them around the frame to form a box. I then took bubble wrap and wrapped it several times. Then I took a blanket and wrapped it around it again. I then taped the living **** out of the box so it would break open. Sounds like a little overkill but I used to work at Fedex and UPS and saw what happen to packages:eek2:

I shipped a YFZ450 frame the other day with USPS. Took the subframe off and tied it to the top of the frame and boxed it all up. USPS was $132 from here in IL to Alaska, UPS wanted $220 and Fed-ex was a lil over $300.

DHL has been cheapest here.
