Other than the obvious (less power) they feel just like a lot like a 400ex.

You just have to find the method that works best for you.

Check this out for a few tips....

i'm throwing the BS flag

you do not need a 400ex to ride wheelies

i learned how to ride wheelies on a 250x same thing as a 300ex and i rode them forever with a 250x/300ex and i still can its just as easy on a 400ex too and once you get the balance point down

how i used to do it on my 250x sit way back on the seat put it in first rev it up and dump the clutch thats how i used to do it. ride it threw first and into second and the throttle is so smoth

just pratice

400s are just easier to wheely, i had a 93 warrior and reved all the way up and dumped the clutch. that was the only way to get a wheely out of it

Best way to start wheelin is to put your left foot in the back grab bar, you'll be able to feel the balance point easier, and it takes the fear out of landin backwards on your head.leave your right foot on the peg though so you can still work the back break to keep the front end down.If you do land on the back grab bar you'll pretty much just be standin up.

since i am right handed i found it easier to balance if i have my right foot in the grab bar and the left foot on the peg.im starting to get the hang of it useing the clutch and throttle to keep it in the balance point.too high slip the clutch a little.too low give it a little more gas

gotta switch that....right foot on the BRAKE.

you'll get used to it, trust me...has nothing to do with being right or left handed.

i got a 300 and i can pop it up pretty easy and ride it for a little while... helps when you dont have a slow leak in one tire and it pulls to that side... lol but its not that hard i usually use the clutch to pop it up then its just practice that will help you out more.... you will fall too

Not that I condone wheelie threads in the freestyle section, but I've found the 300EX is actually easier to wheelie from a dead stop. It's got a pretty short swinger, doesn't take too much to pop it up. My girlfriend can barely wheelie her 400EX, and she can pop up a 300EX no problem.

u got a great quad to wheelie man my friends got one and wat i like to do is get goin in 3rd and find a nice little bump, lean back use a lil clutch and wail the throttle, then once its up the 300's can go forever, just grab the gears as u get goin faster, and most important, set er down before u run out of field!

the best machine for doing a wheelie is my 90ex. that thing is so light all you have to do is put right foot on the grab bar and it will stay up in the air through 4th gear. its so light that i can turn while on a wheelie too just by leaning to one side. . . i love that thing...... was my first atv haha

well on my 400ex last summer i would pop it streight up and i could ride as long as i wanted at a steady throtol so same thing would probly work for a 300.
