I am looking for a slip on for my 400ex. i was wondering which kind i should get? i think i have pretty much narrowed it down to a white bros. e series, hmf, or one of tc's race slip on's. which one should i get? i don't plan on doing any major motor mods. maybe just little things. thanks for the replies!!

p.s. someone told me that the rivets on the white bros. go to h*ll after a while is that true?

The only pipe that I have experience with is the E Series. I like it cause its tuneable, good sound level..(not too loud) and its got a good spark arrestor on it. That will make the DNR, Forest Rangers and Yogi Bear smilling when you ride through the gates at your local state forest atv riding area.

I removed my disk for giggles not long ago. Sound wasnt increased too much. I had to step up on a main jet. Low and Mid range took a dive, while the top end pull was increased. Low and Mid suffered so much, I put the disk back on.

Good luck with your purchase bud! Just remember to get a slip on with a spark arrestor on it, if not, your not gonna be allowed to ride anywhere except in on a race track and your living room.:D

Ive never heard about the rivets failing. Anyone else heard of this???

My vote goes to the TC. My second choice would be the WB E-Series, but I prefer the TC by quite a bit.

The new E-series have braces where the head pipe, meets the pipe(where the rivets are)This is going to stop them falling apart.
Id recommend an E-series. There're tunable, and produce good HP gains.Like RED121572 said, if you have a spark arrestor, it makes alot more people happy.my vote goes to the WB E-series. oh, the pro-meg is quieter also I think.

You should make your decision based on looks, sound, and performance. Here is what I have...

Go with the tc if you plan on motor mods and the hmf if no motor mods(I think pipe preference is all what you want...I have the hmf)

Hey Tanner. This is Justin. I got Banned so i had to make a new name.

I would normally say go with the TC pipe by far but you guys gotta remember that he said he didn't want to do motor mods so it would be sorta pointless. He might as well get one of the mainstream pipes.

Even if you don`t do any Motor Mods go with the TC. I have had my TC on since last December with no Motor Mods and I really like it. If you are wanting more arm pulling torque this is the Pipe to get. The Guy we ride with has a full T-4 and I think my Slip-On is better. He really liked my Pipe. You will like the TC a lot. Trust me Engine Builders Pipe are just Better.

Or if you want to save some dough get the Pro circuit and cut it down alot. its like a tc but cheaper. I like the TC but dont want to spend that much on slipon.

Oh if I were you I would check out the Hetrick Pipe. If I didn`t have my TC already I would be choosing from the TC, Hetrick, or Sparks.
