This is my first quad, so everyone who has helped I REALLY appreciate it. I replaced the rear axle bearings in the carrier. Installed the new axle and everything.

I torqued the nuts on, installed the lock ring, etc. However, the sprocket side is digging into my bearing carrier. You can see the flakes of aluminum. The flakes of aluminum are simply from me spinning the wheel by hand.

Any help, did I do something completely wrong, am I missing some type of spacer?

Thanks guys!

thats weird. you're tightening the nut against the outer snap ring right? like spinning it outward.

here's a couple pics

Turns out to be a simple lesson, "You get what you pay for!" I got the rear axle bearings off e-bay for like $20. Turns out, they are slightly off in width causing the rear axle to push too far into the bearing carrier. Luckily, I bough Pivot Works for the linkage, swingarm and shock.

Now, I have to get rear axle bearings in a hurry. Heading to Silver Lake Sand Dunes with some buddies first of April. This will be my first quad ride since the transition from bikes.

If you've read my posts before, you've heard me say it, but quads are way more difficult to work on compared to dirt bikes!
