Johnny,

I will be racing the SCORE 500 on my atv in sportsmen class. It will cost $800 to enter in the sportsmen class.

What kind of bike do you have (then I can tell you what you need to do to the bike)? At the very least you need a desert tank, and some good desert racing tires (Maxxis or ITP HOle shots). You can have up to 3 other riders on your team (I think) but each has to have paid their $50.00 SCORE membership fee. Do you have pit crews? If not, I would suggest signing up with either

or

to pay for their pit service.

You can also check out my website

and read what I have put up so far, especially my story on the Baja 1000...I have been told it gives first timers a good idea of what to expect in the longer SCORE races.
