450r speed

Hey i was wondering the top speed of a stock 04-05 450r. in a dirtwheels a while back they where doing some runs in the desert and they said that a stock 04-05 450r would go 78 mph. but the 06 450r is faster and in the dirtwheels where they tested the 06, they said it went 74 mph:confused:

I would say the 04-05 would do about 74mph. I believe the 06 has a 13t front sprocket (04 had 14t) which might slow down it's topspeed somewhat.

I paced my 04 while it was stock at 78 mph.

I got the HRC Kit installed in my 06 and it went 79 MPH alongside my buddy's 1999 Ford Taurus. That was with stock gearing. I could imagine it going somewhere around 85 with the 14 tooth front sprocket.

mine goes just fast enough scare the pudding out of me. there isnt really a need for me to go any faster top end, but im not dropping sprocket to 12 because its got plenty down low also.

My '05 with a 13t counter-shaft sprocket goes 71.5 MPH according to my GPS.

on my 05, I was doing a wheelie at 75 with it pinned so I could see it doing 78. but one of my EX friends ran from the cops on his 04 with a HRC kit and the cop who was chasing him clocked him at 87. wich I think is completely obsurd.

according to my garmin GPS mine will go about 73. thats an 05 with the HRC kit and a 13 tooth sprocket on the frount. then it started hitting the rev limiter so i backed off.
