How would I go about cutting a ring off of a spring? I got some cheap shocks on a quad that was 550 bucks so I don't want to spend any money on it yet it rides so stiff I can ride it and not bottom it out.
Thanks

I dont think cutting the spring is going to help your situation. What kind of quad? Are the shocks adjustable? Depending on the quad you could probably pick up a cheap set of stockers off a new quad and bolt them up. Need more info to help you out.

It is one of those chinese knock offs. I will get the springs eye to eye and see what they are. The bike is junk although it is new...just trying to get my 5 year old used to riding.
