I just got it yesterday. Bought it on E-bay for $519 shipped.
If you are looking at getting a great D-SLR and can't drop a grand on a camera, I highly recommend this. This thing takes awesome pictures and I read while doing research on this camera that the kit lens is superior to the canon rebel.
It is very compact compared to the Canon and Nikon SLR's and it also shoots in RAW format which makes editing very easy.
The rebel is a step up from this, but this camera is still very sweet.
Another bonus is the older film SLR pentax lenses are argued to be some of the best out there and can be picked up for fairly cheap.
