300ex power problems

I race motocross on my 300ex and it seems like i need more torque. It also seems like it needs a gear in between 2nd and 3rd and sometimes 3rd and 4th. i need more traction i know bc it spins quite a bit but even when its hooked up it seems like not enough. i have a headpipe silencer jeting filter and of course tires in about to put on beadlocks and mxr6's on the back to help my traction does anyone have anysuggestions plz help thanx

Sounds like you need to do some gear changing.

Thats what im thinkin but i think i need at least a 40 tooth on the back and as big as i can find is a 39 and stock is 38 but down a tooth on the front would be like 5 or 6 on the back and i think that would be to much anyone got anymore suggestions?

stick with the stock rear sprocket and go down a tooth on the front
