block off plate?

I took off my parking brake and when i went to put the block off plate on it went on ok but when i took off to ride it was pushing the brake in how do I prevent that from pressing the thing in but still have the plate on??

some of the plates need to be modified to work correctly. They push on one of the brake components pushing the brake it. You may need to grind out a bit off the plate, or adjust the other piece.
