Does the gasket on the head pipe need to be replaced each time you put a new head pipe on?

I switch mine between the stock pipe and the aftermarket pipe depending on where i go riding and have never changed the gasket and ive had no problems.

agree.
May possibly be able to get away with it, but why risk it? They are CHEAP!

You could buy about 300-500 exhaust gaskets for the price of buying an new head and cylinder/piston.

you'll know almost immediately after you replace to the new when the exhaust spits flames from sucking air into the exhaust flange igniting the unspent fuel in the header.

Flames will be shooting

been there seem that.

I usually replace every time my header is removed. Every HONDA order I make I order a handful for inventory.

I agree , replace it. I have always replaced mine. It's not like it's expensive or time consuming.
