I just put on the airbox lid that I made. And it makes me have a bog at about 3/4 throttle. Should I put the biggest jet in? Its a 170 dyno jet not Kehin.

Because I dont want big chunks of mud getting sucked down my motor. I need to know why the bog is hapening. Would a 170 be too big?

If you are useing a good air filter, and keep it well oiled. No mud or splashes of water are going ot get anywhere neer the intake of your motor. That air filter oil keeps water away better than most seem to think.

if all you have is a slip on pipe, and filter, I would say you would want to be in the 160 area..

Your custom lid, does it have holes in it? What are you running for a current jet.

My lid is a um performance cover but instead of just using the crappy velcro I have some screws that help keep it mounted I will put some pics up soon. Im at school right now. I think my jet is a 145 dynojet?

if it is bogging, it is a sign you are too rich. try going down a size. i was always told to jet by going up until it boggs and go down 1 size from there.

The jet kit says that if you take the airbox lid off you should go up to a 170 with a pipe and thats what I have? The bogg sounds like its not reving all the way or its not getting enough of somthing?

Ive got to knwo how you did that? Is that a lid that they sell, ive got an outerwear lid cover very similar to that one you have but its just suppose to be velcro'd down and i dont trust that.

I took my stock airbox, and cut the top off to where the 4 tabs are left on the four corners of the lid. Then I took the filter that I bought and put down the velcro. Next I took 4 screws and washers so the filter wouldnt fall off of the screws. Next I drilled straight through the 4 corners of the filter and put the screws through with the washers and nuts. The trick is to drill smaller than the screw so that the screws are held tightly and dont move. Hope I helped :D

EHS RACING HAS A LID THAT IS MUCH "CLEANER" AND /OR "POSITIVE" IN ATTACHING TO PREVENT DEBRIS FROM ENTERING THE INTERIOR OF THE AIRBOX WHILE ALLOWING MAXIMUM AIRFLOW.
JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH.
