Which do you think is faster a FST built 390 ex or a Vitos 240 blaster? I am leaning towards the blaster, but me and a buddy were arguing over and i wanted to know for sure.

the 390....no questions. A 300ex can be a monster if ported correctly and then a 390 kit on top of that. just remember, neither of these kits are reliable.

Agreed. 390 would spank it, and like Sjorge said, the 390 wouldn't be reliable. I'm pretty sure the 240 would be decently reliable though.

would the FST 330 kit be reliable. If i get a 300 ex i will definatily want more power for mx racing but would want it to last throughout the entire season. I was looking at the 330 kits they are pretty cheap at 295 bucks. Is the power increase worth the $295 bucks. thanks for the help

they can both be reliable, but there are way better 240 kits than a vitos!

ct probably makes the fastest its a real nice kit. Snyder motorsports can also build a nice one to, but they will try to talk you out of it first, 240' arent what they are hyped up to be, stroker kits are the way to go

For the price. $$$ for $$$ a well built Blaster rocks.

I'm not a Blaster expert, but I do know it's a lot cheaper to make a blaster fast compared to the price tag on making a 300ex fast. ;)

dealing with the moods of a 2 stroke compared to a 300ex, there is no price tag for pushing the starter button on a 300ex....:D

i think it would be way cheaper to rebuild a blaster if you blow it up than a 4 stroke. There are some CRAZY fast blasters out there getting in the 40s as far as hp goes,Trenga comes to mind as far as fast 240kits.$$$$ though.:)

A 2mm stroker blaster engine with radical porting/LRD pipe/35mm carb/lightened flywheel and a shaved head to compress 215 psi is THE WAY to go. Don't expect it to be as reliable as a stocker though :eek2: This is the setup I ran on my old blaster and I made a lot of 450's do this thing: :huh

im just talking about the reliebilty issue about two strokes. I know when I had a 2 stroke, when ever I took it to a track/race, i would have to rejet it to make it run right......:grr:

My buddy has a 330 fst kit with a mid range cam. It is pretty fast, and very reliable. The 330 is just a drop in kit, so no case bore is required. He is selling the whole bike right now for around $2000. Its an '00, had FMF mega max, ac nerfs, bumper, and maier race plastic. His e mail is sr_spank_alot_09@hotmail.com if your intersted. He's exman1 on here. He's also selling is basicly stock ex and his yz 85.

2000 bucks thats pretty cheap. I think i have decided to trade my warrior for a blaster though and put a 240 in it. i will ask around and see if anybody is interested in buying it.

I know 2-strokes are fast but I think a 390 will spank the 240 till it cries. unless we were going for which motor lasts longer then it would be the 240.

my opinion
