I just bought some oury grips and they keep moving safety wire helped a little but I need some thing better. I have thought about grip glue but heard it rips parts of the grip of when you try to take it off. Any suggestiosn on what to do?

Oury reccomends using 3m weatherstrip adhesive , You can find it in the automotive section at Wal Mart.

I use spray paint, and saftey wire. The paint might break down the grips but I usually only go 2 races on grips anyway.

i use honda grip glue and let it sit 24 hours

just take sum duct tape and wrap around the bars under the grip to make it bigger in diameter and slide the grip over...thats what i do and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.....

shoe goo ( you can buy it at wal-mart ) works good. Also double sided tape works well ( like you put golf grips on with ), thats actually what I've found works the best. You just wrap the double sided tape on your bars, then use some mineral spirits to lube the inside of the grip and slide it right on, let set up for atleast an hour, my grips have never moved.

wash it out with soap and water, put it on there, wait a few minutes and it should be stuck.

weather strip adhesive.

get some into the grip. squeeze all around to cover the entire inside of the grip. let sit 10 minutes. squeeze more into the grip, spread around the entire inside, slid onto your bar and get them set where you want them. do that fast cause it gets tacky quick. let sit for 24 hours and they will never move on you. if you want more security...put grip wire on as well.

they make airhose attachments designed to slide under the grip and break the seal. this will save your grips to use again if you need to. to reinstall them you would need to clean out the glue before repeating the steps again.

Aqua Net hairspray or grip glue. Spray the hairspray on, put the grip on, when it dries it will stick forever.

IM using Oury mountainbike grips called lockons. The inside of the grip is hard plastic and theirs two collars on the outside that are theaded with small allen scewes. Their nice because theres no glue or saftey wire to deal with. You should be able to get them at any bicycle shop.

i just puled them far as i could with out any loob, then used the air hose "spraying the air hose under the grip above the bar as pulled the grip up " it slides right on and wont slip. or atleast for me it worked

ODI Lock Ons (http://www.odigrips.com/mtb_rogue_lo.htm)

They don't wear out and eliminate arm pump..

I have a suggestion. There is a company called ODI grips. www.odigrips.com

Check this out, they sell grips called lock-on grips. These things just slide over your bars and have locking collars on each end of the grip. No glue required. They are awesome!! If you have any questions let me know. I am trying them out this year and I haven't felt them move yet.

i used scott grip glue. let sit for 2 days and have had no problems.

most people that say grip glue dosnt work dont let it dry. you cant put them on the night before and expect them to hold.

I use super glue. It dries quick and you never have a problem with your grips moving, its what Dirt Rider recomends. Who cares if you have to cut up the grips to take em off, grips are cheap and I'd rather cut them off then have them slide off when riding and wreck.

I will second this!! I have had mine on for some time now with the Gorilla glue and they have yet to budge, I don't even use safety wire.

ODI grips are the best. They are the softest yet longest wearing grips I have tried. I used to think that spider grips were the best for blisters- Until I tried the ODI grips. The lock on system works great too. Thanks ODI. P.s. CB450r is queer!

Use 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive in the aerosol can. You will be amazed at how easy the grips go on and how strong it is.

Spray on the inside of the grip, slide it onto the bar (no wrestling necessary), and let it set. Within 15 minutes your grips will be locked solid ;)

I used to use all kinds of grip glues (Honda, Scott, etc) but it was such a task just to get the grips on the bars. 3M weatherstrip adhesive just simplifies everything and will not loosen up on you later.

spray paint has been holding my son's grips tight for a few months now

I take a wire brush to the area to remove old glue... then Grip glue and let it sit over night..

I don't worry about the glue tearing up the grips. They are not coming off it they need to be replaced...

Hairspray is alright until you get the grips wet and they slide off!

man all u have to do is put some spray adhesive on it. and when u wanna take it off just use a compresser wiht a blower nozzle and stick it underneath and blow it off. or u can use odi lock ons. i use them for mtn biking, they work very nicely and are really simple. you could probably pick up a pair onlinehttp://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/GR707A11-Odi+Lock-On+Gripsclamps+-+Oury.aspx or u can pick up a pair at a bike shop or something
