I've got nothing but praise for my Dr.D slip-on. It gave a nice all around increase in power when i took my lid off and rejetted for it and it is much quieter than many of the others.

People need to stop asking suck dumbass qeustions. There is really no "best pipe" cuase every pipe performs different at different things. Its all personally preference

i dont know what your restrictions are, it is a little loud i guess, but people say it sounds awesome, obviously if it has to be quiet, stock is the way to go. but if you want to put a pipe one, i think yoshi is outstanding. but i am a dumbass so what the hell, do what the non dumbass's say. hahaha... i love the way mine is and i wouldnt have it any other way...

IF you want the best performance you buy a HMF, no if ands or buts about it. They have a very load throaty sound to them. I personally love the sound of it and it's performance gains thats why i bought one.

IF you want to go more of a quite route i would shoot for yosh.

I'm going to be getting a White Bros E2 system for mine - it's designed to be convertible from full race to quiet <96db by installing the spark arrestor. I don't want to be loud as crap when I'm leading the family caravan of quads through the woods!

I was also wondering what kind of jetting upsizes you guys were getting for installing exhaust & airbox mods? Not planning on internal motor work anytime soon.......

HMF. If you think its to loud you can always put in the quiet core.

How about: I sneak around a bit in the woods so I am looking for a quieter pipe that will still give me performance. One that has a removable core possably. Any good ones?

Crazy Diamond the HMF company has developed a QRS pipe which is designed to be quiet. Most people I know that run a HMF love them for the noise but is exactly why I don't want one. I'm not sure if the QRS has a removable core.

Again, the WB E2 pipe might be just what you're looking for - it is designed to be quiet and convertible to a full race system.

Took this from www.whitebrothers.com:

The E2 slip-on muffler was designed exclusively for those that like to ride on either the trail or the track. The square ellipse shape was specifically designed for it's superior silencing capabilities. In fact, this shape has become the foundation of our complete line of full-size exhaust systems and can be found on the Factory 4-stroke Teams of Honda and Yamaha.

The unique design of the US version allows the system to be changed from being the USFS configuration (standard), with a real progressive power band, to the more aggressive hard hitting power band needed for the track. This unique end cap is included and can be switched in a matter of seconds by removing a single screw.

I have a full Yosh system on my KFX and its alot quieter then my friend's Z-400 with just a HMF slip on.
if your going for a quiet pipe i would say go with Yosh. Its quieter but still kicks @$$

yoshi systems are nice....but the hmf has powercoating which is a little bonus since you can make your bike stand out..and look alot better

I'm not going for looks! I had a 83 Toyota Showtruck! Looks are a pain in the @$$! I want performance with a quieter tone! I have had Yoshi on the mind since I got it tho. But looking for other opinions! Thanks!

I was just in my carb 2 weeks ago chasing my tail on a high idle problem. http://www.bluetraxx.com/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif I'm almost sure there was a 130 stamped on the main jet. I don't have any idea where you'd go from there though.

go to a 150 or 155 DJ and you may have to bump the pilot up one, also take the lid off and dude you will be way happy with that sucker. when i got my hmf i was way impressed with the gains

What pipes did you do your "shoot out" with to say yosh was the best? Also was it the RS-3 or TRS?

how much does the quite core work compared to the noise level of the hmf w/out it compared to stock, cuz im thinking about buying a hmf sport series and get the quite core but i dont want the noise level of the hmf all the time. My buddy has one and it sounds awsome, but when im riding w/ my uncle he cant stand it just wanted to know if the quite core makes it something like the stock noise level. Thanks for the info

one of my boys had a FMF Titanium , a Pro Circ. and Yoshi RS-3 off road. I do have to say the spark core was off on the yoshi so thats the set up I got yoshi-RS-3, change the main jet to 150 one tooth down in the front sprocket killer bottom end for hill climbs but I have to go up 4 tooth ( I think) in the rear sprocket any suggestions on top end?

I was thinking about buying a faster bike and went with puttinga few $$ in mine. I Jetted, full Sparks, profow kit. k&n, and a 13 tooth front spocket. Let me tell you it put a smile on my face. Thats the only dyno I have. I am going to get a cdi. If anyone has any suggestions.
