They widen the quad which in return adds stability to the bike in cornering. With the addition of aftermarket shocks, they will in most cases lower the quad also and provide alot better handling.

lowering is done with the shocks.

with longer a-arms you increase wheel travel in most cases. alot more stability.
but once a gain get good shocks to go with them
