my mom is lookin for another car to take back and forth to work instead of using our explorer because she is putting too many miles on it and she just found a 95 honda civic, automatic with 132,000 miles on it for 3500. do u think it is worth buying? she puts 40 miles every weekday on it? is this a reliable car with that many miles?

It depends on how well it's been taken care of. My wifes 95 Civic blew a head gasket at 110K miles, but my friends wife's 95 Civic has almost 200K miles on it and they have never had a problem. I think ours had been abused before we bought it though.

Have a mechanic check it over, if he says everything is good to go I wouldn't think twice about driving it. Maybe try to talk them down a little on the price.

I have a 91 civic, and it runs fine. It's got about 150,000 miles on it and it runs like a champ. But that my just be because its a HONDA!

I have a 88 honda civic it has 260,000 miles on it. It makes me sad to say this but............ it runs better than my tahoe. Once i run this civic into the ground im going to buy another one.

To keep the miles off his truck... Obviously he knows the Ford will not hold up to high miles either.
