Hey just how much louder is the slipon compared to stock?

Decibals for HMF - ?
Decibal for stock - ?

If you don't know how to read db's that number can be vary confusing. Every 10 db equals an increase in sound of 100%.

the quiet core doesnt do much as far asquieting down.if your nieghbors like you get a different pipe.

Definitely louder than stock - by quite a bit. Some quiet cores do more than others in keeping the dB's down. Most will take a 102dB pipe and quiet it to around 96-98dB's. The problem with quiet cores is that they impede airflow, therefore reduce perfomance. The whole point of an exhaust is to gain power. A pipe with a quiet core insert will still perform better than stock, but it kind of defeats the purpose.

If quiet is a big concern for you, consider some quieter pipes or those that are specifically designed for environments that don't like loud exhausts on ATV's. My suggestion is a Dr. D. It runs about 96-97dB's open (no core) and still provides good power gains. Add a K&N and you have a good little system.
