hey guys,
I am in the process of purchasing a 2006 450r. As of now two dealers have offered me 6900 OTD. Here in California the MSRP is 6800. So i was wondering what you guys think about the price. Im thinking about trying to haggle with them. I know I have to be patient and all and play their little games. So tell me what you guys think, and I cant wait to get this thing home.

Thanks, Josh

I bought mine on the March 7th from Hahm Motorsports in Anaheim for $6,600 OTD. Chapperal in San Bernardino wanted $1,000 more than that.

In Wisconsin I paid $6300 OTD. That figure inludes tax. Becareful what people post as an OTD price. Sometimes they are buying out of state and dont have to pay tax. I would say if you can get one for $6000 + tax that would be a good deal.

my final price in pa was $6550

yah exactly! it does suck to live out here. California is way overpriced on everything. I know part of its because of emissions but just flat out were expensive here. Even houses are sky rocketing on prices, its unbelievable. Thanks again everyone. Were going to haggle and ask for 6,800 OTD with a manual. Well see what they say;)

Did you or anyone you know buy one for that price out the door after all fees and everything??? I kind of doubt it. Lets see the invoice.

I'm holding the invoice in my hand, $6,600 OTD (tax, registration, dealer prep) from Hahm. That was after going to two dealers (Chapperal and Hahm) and E-mailing OTD Motorsports. I actually was ready to buy from Chapperal but I didn't like how they wouldn't match Hahm or OTD's prices and after Chapperal's sales manager told me I'd never get a 450R for less then MSRP. I like a challenge and Hahm is only 20 minutes from my house, Chapperal an hour. Glad I decided to check it out for myself, the diffrence in price was $1,000 and a much more pleasent sales experince.

I was referring to these prices. Show me a website with 5700 something that says OTD after it, and with no asterisks.

Check the atvtraderonline.com in San Mateo CA. theyre in the bay area. They have them for 6499 OTD. You should be able to get a price match to them or something close to it. I took the price to Roseville Cycle Center in Roseville and got mine for $6550.. so I didnt have to drive all the way to the bay area for $50 bucks. Also Honda has a program that they give you $100 back for taking a safety riding class.

i got mine $5700 out the door. I didn't even have to pay sales tax on it. So it doesn't suck too bad to be out west. But mine is an 05 and i think the dealer just wanted to get rid of it because they dont sell many sport 4 wheelers out here.

I have bought 3 quads and a dirtbike from them, the prices on the website are OTD prices for out of state customers, in state must pay sales tax.

I have been there on a Saturday and watched them sell 180+ units in one day.

So then we called Clawson Motorsports and they gave us 6900 OTD..wat connections huh!!! So now im going back to Clawson and goin to try 6800 or MSRP OTD. OTD Dosen't post the prices on their website, but they have a link to a price quote, you enter your E-mail info. and thirty seconds later they send you a legit, OTD price quote which is good for 48 hours. However they state in this quote that the quote is based on current inventory, and prices can change based on demand, I think that's why someone said that OTD's current price is 6800.

6,799 was msrp on mine, the dealer had 3 06 er's in stock (2black-1red) I have perchased 2 new bikes at this dealership in the last 2 years,(I just told them I was going to buy a black 06er, but I wasnt sure I was going to buy it from them). oh they tried to sell me a 05 cheaper. originally I told them if they could get me out the door for less than 7,000 it would be a done deal, but 7,124 was the exact total otd. they wanted to give me the hrc kit to install but I talked them into putting it in. I think pretty much I just got hrc installed for free after all was said and done.

US 27 Motorsports in Michigan. 2006 450ER on March 7, 2006 I paid $6105 OTD. I did not pay sales tax and the title was $11. So with 6% sales tax it would have been in the $6400 range. Not a great deal, but I felt it was fair.

Paid 6699.00 OTD for my '06 450er OTD, which was 100.00 more than another dealer (best price I could find, 6599.00) that was jerkin' me around on. Got mine @ Santa Clarita Motorsports. Dude was fair, no pressure. The Quad is awesome. Cant wait for the weather to get better. Than Im off to Dove Springs....

the prices you guys paid with the HRC kits installed are great deals you got. I mean the HRC kit itself is 300 and to install another 300!!!!

I know this guy that bought a street bike frm Clawson(my local dealer) awhile ago and im goin to have him call tomorrow and see what price they give him. If they tell him more than 6900 then im gettin a somewhat of a deal. But if they tell him less than i know im getting ripped off. So if they tell him less than ill ask for less like 6800 out the door. So well see how that goes. Hopefully well negotiate some kind of deal by the end of this week:D

Hahm Motorsports in Anaheim has a good selection and fair pricing. Have bought last 4 quads from them. When I purchased the '06 honda had called earlier and arranged pricing and prep. Was in the store less than a 1/2 hour from signing the paperwork to loading and driving away. Unfortunately in Calif. we have to pay sales tax otherwise they would be competetively priced from states that don't.

Hey dude, we pay sales tax in MI too, 6%. It's just if you own ten acres or more and use the land for farming and use the quad to farm you can sign a form to get out of it. I have 20 acres but no crops. I planted 100 pine trees last year, so I call the trees my crops. And I use the R to patrol the property. Pretty sure if I was audited I would have to pay the tax.

I checked all over Phoenix today and the best OTD price was from Western Honda for $6250 ( tax, title, and dock fee), and the runner up was $6350. Every other dealer told me to buy it from Western because they could not come close to them. I'll be picking my black 06 next week.

Here in PA Road Track and Trail will sell you a 05 for 4899+tax you can get the 06 er for 700 more. It's a real good deal if you are not tryin to trade. They would only give me 1500 for my 02 400ex. OTD was like 6085 after my trade I'd still owe em 4585.
At the dealer I bought mine Bob Logue Motorsports I got a OTD of 6700 and they gave me 3000 for my ex I owed them 3700. I paid them 2000 cash and financed the balance on the Honda card and they are not holding the title. I think I got a smokin deal since I had about 1200 in that ex.~I traded it for a jeep.

I know several people who have bought for the advertised OTD price at OTDCycleSports. My local Honda/Kawasaki (Kawasaki of Riverside) dealer matched OTD's price on my '05 450R & 250EX.... Been there, done that...

good news....we bought the 450er last night. Our salesman told us that he wanted 6900 OTD this is including all taxes everything. The MSRP was 6800, so we chewed him down 100 bucks and we bought it for 6800. Not that big of a deal but a hundred bucks is 1/4 of an exhaust:D So we should be picking it up sunday, I am overly excited.
