If you have ever been frustrated at your little black OEM clamps for your carb, well get rid of them, I went to the hardware store and got some clamps (same as shock remote rezzie clamps) and tightened them down good, I don't think my carb is going anywhere now.

Just those normal like stainless hose clamps?

I lost my stock black one while i was rebuilding so ive been using those on the boot connecting to the engine... so far works great but they seem a touch too wide...

Yes, they are a bit wider than the stock clamps, but I have put it on and off several times now with no damage to either the intake or air boot. I think it is worth it if you are using a carb that is larger than stock.

I will get pics soon!

Thanks Rico! That is exactly what I am talking about, I don't know how this will "cut" a hole in the air boot or anything like that. Seems to work out real good on my setup.

Hey Rico,

Did you finally get your 450R carb dialed in?

take a clamp like that and feel the edges of it.it's almost like a razer blade.i thought the same way.i'm not saying it will not work.it worked a lot better than stock one with the spacer in them.

Hey JW,

Thanks for clarifying that....I think it works way better, but I will check it next time I got to mess with the carb, maybe I will sandwich something in between as a buffer so it does not cut it. Thanks for the heads up.
