ok i got a dyno jet kit with some little crappy adjusting tool that came with it and i know not to tighten the screw but i cant get a good feel for it with my hand cramped in there between the engine and carb....i rotated it in till i felt that it properly seated.... so my question is how hard is it to mess up the fuel/air mixture seat by tightening it to much and how will u know you've done it?... "i am always way to worried about my quad and how it works but that has also led to my 1 year old quad being in better condition than my friends 2 month old quad"

Unless you really cranked down on the fuel screw you're probably OK. If you're not sure then remove the screw and examine it. Look for a smashed or bent tip. Visual examination along with normal reactions from the screw are the only ways I'm aware of to confirm its condition.

If you're really paranoid you can always just buy a replacement. As long as the screw behaves normally though, I wouldn't worry about it.
