Yeah so i got 3600 in my bank looking to save up a little more. Im looking into buying a nice bronco 1985 threw when ever they were made. Anyone who knows broncos can they shed some light on them wether if they are reliable what miles do they usually start to breakdown at.

I found this 1985 bronco with 27,000 miles on it!! he only wants 4700 OBO

def get the 5.0 bronco. My brother has a 5.0, it has 177000 miles on it and it sat for 7 years. It runs like a champ after some tinkering. I love broncos, they will always be my favorite.

Heck i'd even recomend a k5 blazer.

make sure it has 27k miles on it, and not 127k!

That's good it has low mileage, but it's still 21 years old. I'm guessing it's a BroncoII with a 2.9L V6? Even a full-size Bronco at that age, I would only give him 1500-2,000 for it. Good luck

Looks nice... check out the Kelly Blue book value link on his listing. Retail value is about $2600 with his options in excellent condition. Selling to a private owner the value is about 2k. That would be the max I would pay. The truck has been listed since October, which works in your favor to drive him down on price. ;)

That is deffinatly not a down side!!! Those 300 straight 6's put out so much torque it isn't even funny. At 1500 RPM's they put out about as much torque as the 351W's. Check out www.fullsizebronco.com The people there know alot, and will be able to answer any questions you would have.

Forgot to mention this too. The 300 I-6's are just about the most reliable motors ever made. It is not uncommon for those motors to go easily more than 250,000 miles. There is one around here with 440,000 original miles on it.

i have an 87 Fullsize that has a new motor with 19k, its a 302, new radiator, and flow 40 exhaust. I want a 1,000 firm. The body could use some work, but with the remaining money, buy a lift, rims, and 33s or 35s!

Shes a beast and i love her, i just want an s-10 or put the money into my s-10 blaze.

Heck yeah them Straight 6's are good reliable engines. They also run well for a 6 cylinder. They are also not all that hard to tear apart. If that bronco is in mint then it might be worth that much money but if not i would pass. That seems like alot for an old 1985.

He sent me an email and said the motor was rebuilt and... I dont know if I should pass on it because he said he doesnt have any papers for this Bronco... Dont you need the papers for like insurence and registering the truck and all of that??

yep, he's gotta have the title. If the title was lost, or whatever, HE has to get another one issued from the DMV. Stay away from this until he has title in hand. ;)

Thats way to much for that bronco. Also stay away from it unless it has a clear title.

yeah i cleared it up with him he has titles he meant he doesnt have papers to proove that he had the engine rebuilt thats why the miles are so low

I agree its way to much the most id pay for it is 3000 dollars...It is really nice.. but 4700 i can get a newer bronco..

Also I would never buy another ford with a 300 inline 6. I had two back in the day and they are gas guzzlers.

The 5.0 302 gets better milage and tons more power.
I will admit the 300 inline 6 will out pull a 302 v-8 though. Great engine for a work truck that does a lot of pulling or 4wd slow stuff.

The 300 is made for low RPM power, the 302 is made for high RPM power and most of want that high rev power.
