Is any one running a Duncan Racing PC 400 power cylinder, the 440 kit that is a bolt on? If so any info you have will be helful, which compression, pump gas, reliability? Also if you heard anything on it as well on how it performes please let me know, and if the kit is going to still get ripped by the new 450's. Thanks

We have it on my wifes 400 along with a 450R carb. Great setup brp with 12:1 compression and half race gas. Cant go wrong with Duncan.

i had one on my 440 and it was super reliable, one of the best investments for an ex i could have bought. ran it with an 11-1 and a 12.5-1 they worked good. on the track it was with or a little ahead of a stock 450, but in a drag race it fell behind

I have a 440 national kit on mine and was thinking of upgrading to a pc 4000. I spoke to the people at Duncan and they told me the power gain that I would get if I switched to a PC cylinder was not going to be that great, that it was not worth me spending all that money for the cylinder. Also, he said that even with the cylinder it was not going to keep up with the new 450's. I'm still thinking about getting one though, just to bump it to a 450.

I run the PC4000 and love it, I have the 440 version. I really wanted the 450 but that means splitting the cases and boring the case. A lot of money in labor to ran that. Anyways I have had a std. duncan 440 now the pc4000 and I feel my motor has more endurance, and in terms of power it is still a 440. It is the cooling characteristics of the cylinder that you will truly benefit from. Defnitely makes your top end more reliable, and the other benefit no casting flaws what so ever when compared to the stock cylinder. And yes the 440 is a bolt on cylinder. The 450 and 460 require your case (bottom end) to be bored out to fit a larger diameter sleve.
