Hey y'all. I have a 1999 old body style chevy 1500 ext cab Z71. Its got exactly 150,000 miles on it and push button 4x4 with the 5.7 and all the features including CD. It has just gotten in a brand new GM crate engine (never ran, still needs broke in) in it and the transmission is said to be good from the mechanic who installed the engine. I have all the recipts for it too. It also had at 120K all new brakes installed all around (calipers, rotors, lines, master cylinder) and a fuel pump put on at 120,000. Also brand new 65K tires were added on at 149,000 (still have nipples)

point is i need a stronger truck (3/4 or one ton) and need to sell this fast. The paint is glossy and no rust or leaks and the title is clear. Do you think 9500 dollars is fair for this? If anyone is interested in it let me know. Im in the northern cinci area.:)

thanks.

Find a stupid teenager, and yes, it's worth it. I had a 2000 RCSB that had every option for a regular cab truck. 117,000 miles. Dealership that I work at gave me $8300 for it, and got $9000 out of it. So and OBS truck would probably bring less.

Heres the Kelly Blue book... but it doesn't take into consideration the new motor or anything else new....

Blue Book Private Party Value
Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.

Vehicle Condition Ratings Check Vehicle Title History
Excellent
$9,200
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

Good (Selected)
$8,450
"Good" condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A "good" vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.

Maybe its different where you live but here in the classifieds I've seen 03's or 04's with 30-40k miles and they want $13,000-$15,000! The market is not what it use to be:eek: I have a 01 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with 17,000 miles and I'm lucky if I get $12,000. Your mileage will scare people even though thats just the body but I'm pretty sure nobody is gonna spend almost $10,000 on something with that kind of mileage and year (7 years old). I would say $7000-$8000. But, it doesn't hurt to ask for $9500:D You never know what might come your way:D

water, lots of it. and a pressure washer, a BIG pressure washer, approx. 6.5GPM 3500PSI and 250 degree heater onboard. Also filtration system which weighs about 400 lbs too minus the 100 some pounds of sand i keep with it. All in all I prolly have a good 5-6k trailer weight.

btw i stopped at some dealerships around me and the trucks like mine are bringing in over 11K at the dealers. So i think its a good deal but i dont know...
