ok seems after reading most of the honda vs suzuki threads everyone is putting the cherry bomb and pulling the spark arrestor from the ltr, and the hrc kit on the r. so after doing this to each what kind of hp does each produce and which would win a 300' dirt drag ?

If you put 20" paddles on the LT-R it's going to be underpowered, because the gearing is off. Just an FYI before you get too dissapointed. You need to lower the gearing to even it back out.

The Honda would have about five more horse or so with those setups. It wins every time with equal riders.

do I need to drop the front one tooth on the 450r ? it has hrc and k&n. its a 13 now, how much fun is this 450r going to be ? I still have the 250r and it was a blast to play with in the sand, but Im not sure how the 4 strokes are, the 250r was always 1/2 a second from putting to roosting.

I actaully thought they should have a shootout with the most common mods for them.

Suzuki- cherry bomb
Honda- hrc
Yamaha- Cam Mod? idk

honda more hp- no, equall hp w/ hrc set up and cb on the suzuki-no. it took a 13:1 piston w/ a full exhaust and stage 2 cam to make 1 more hp than the suzuki stock w/ mods listed above. here is the byno sheet i found from another site that did the testing. equall set ups ,tires etc...

the yfz had the cam mod full exhaust filter set up. the honda had a filter set up as well.

I wonder why the honda started fluttering at max hp. floating valves ? (shouldnt until 11000 rpm) I didn t quite understand what you where trying to say. about the 13:1 an more hp no - ?
and why does it say ltr and yfz on the dyno but no 450r or
r ?

it said 450r where i got the dtone graph from.and what i was trying to saty about the 13:1 piston was that it takes much more than a hrc kit to get equal hp.

Doesn't the 06 450r come with a 12.5:1 piston already? How big of a difference is half a point of compression going to make?

honeslty i dont think that dyno is right at all. Both the 450r and YFZ come stock with around 40 hp. I know that the HRC kit isnt goin to add just 1 hp. Honda makes around 40 hp with baffle removed so I think this dyno is wrong. Correct me if wrong.

that "byno" seemed off to me but I dont know much about dyno's , Im going to waynoka in a couple weeks, if the dyno trailer is there Ill post results of 06 hrc w/ k&n. The thing that got me is at about 10,000 rpm the honda did some funny stuff on hp. with the hrc kit the 1000 rpm boost I dont understand why it started bouncing there.

The dyno numbers are correct. That is my bro Buddas LT on the sheet. I was there when it was done. Standing right next to it.. No biased input and I certainly could care less what the numbers were. We just wanted to know is all..KBR's dyno is accurate. Accurate to what you say. Accuarte that two 700 Raptors with similar mods pulled nearly identical numbers. One of the Raptors was Buddahs.. I was there for that also.. Dyno'd a Yoshi 450z my ATK and Athena 434 all on the same day. His dyno may read lower then others or is it others are reading unusually high. Doesn't matter when all machines are done on the same dyno by the same operator and the same Hoosier racing tires..
