ok, I just bought a JE 12:1 piston, stage 2 hotcam, and a 450R carb and I was told by my friend who's putting my parts on for me that I should get a port & polish now or sometime in the near future. So my question is how much will it help me out and about how much will it cost me, thanks
Josh

From what I hear it helps out quite a bit, but I dunno what the cost would be.

if you know how to do it yourself.....about 2 hours of time on a friday night....lol
it really depends on who does it and how much the shop labor is....basically lookin at 1-2 hours at most shops...this is at a shop if you dont know how to do it yourself. you will gain mostly top end power and will help if you have a pipe and filter and jet kit. you wont see too much but it does help

like i said....about 1-2 hours at most shops.. labor here is 52/hr....so 50-110 is a good estimate

I think it would help a good deal since you've got a hi-comp piston, better cam and carb and whatnot. Gettin the head flowing better would be the next step i think..
