whats up guys... need some opinions on this one. my 02' kfx400 that i bought from a guy about a year ago whom seemed to take good care of it, when i go from reverse to first or from first to second it kinda makes a clicking noise and jerks a little bit?? i dont know whiethrt the gears are worn down or if its time to replace the tranny fluid....keep in mind this is more-so from reverse to 1 and 1 to 2. any answers

p.s. sometimes it wont want to go into first i gotta pull the clutch in and let it out and stomp on the shifter for it to go in..wierd

I thought the KFX400 first year was 2003!!!

the first year for the kfx was 2003. as for it not going in first gear i have the same prob. i think its because the gears wont engage until u let the clutch out with the engine running because the gears dont spin until the clutch is engaged.i could be wrong, but that was always my guess

03 is the first year for the kfx.......the 02 on the serial number must not mean 02 as in the year.
