what would you guys trade..

..for a stock predator 500? quad wise. i might be getting one soon and i absolutely HATE polaris'. i plan to trade it off for something else that has more potential or just sell it and buy something different.

i wouldnt touch that thing with a ten foot pole. its a polaris and that has BAD NEWS written all over it

Why are you getting the predator to start with then? If your parents are getting dont sell or trade it because if my kid did that I'd beat their arse for trading something I worked for..

Pred's aren't a bad quad at all. They have alot of power, and handle pretty good. I was surpised with them. Keep it for awhile you might be suprised yourself.

i was thinking the same thing, but i guess if you plan on racing mx the 400 might be better, alot lighter. myself, i would take the pred over a 400ex.

well, back in the day, i got pulled out of the woods by 2 polaris's seprately. I have nothing against polaris even though i like to give my buddies hell for having one:devil: but really, if you are racing anything other than MX i would keep the Pred. but in MX i would choose the 400 too because i is lighter, handles great (so i hear, haha) and it is in the 450 class. so, now that leaves it up to you to decide what kind of riding you are doing

i don't mean more potential cc wise, brand wise. how many aftermarket parts do you see for a predator? i much rather have a 400cc quad that has a lot more options when it comes to modding then a 500cc quad that has very little things that can be done to it besides motor and shocks.

I would take a 400ex any day of the week. But if the predator was given to me I would still ride it, even though I like the 400 better.

I've never really seen anyone ride em, so I don't know if there any good or not. But I don't see anyone riding em around here, so whats that tell ya. That no one likes em.

no questions, i would take a predator over a 400ex any day.

There are just as many aftermarket parts for a pred as there are for a 400ex.

Now if I had a choice between a 450r or a predator.........thats a different story:p

yeah man i'll be riding it for a while no doubt but i'm just saying after about a month i'm gonna try selling it for a decent price and buy a 400 and dump some money into it.

The predator is a nice bike thats actually fast and Fun To Ride. I think everyone hates polaris because they have made alot of quads in the past that are not fun to be on at all. The predator is not that heavy. It feels pretty nimble when your on it. There are 3 of them at my mx track that dont do that bad keeping up with us 450s. If your riding trails, you can bearly ask for a better quad. If you guys are trying to say a predator is not competetive in racing, just look at mat smiley on his, hes almost stock and hes more than competetive. They have a butload of power for a stock quad.

what the heck do any of you riders know about polaris? youve never owned one and you think their junk cause johnnys got a flat tire!! they are excellent bikes ive heard much great word of these from people who have switched from the hondas, yamahas, suzukis and what ever else . they are great machines .

well said, i mean come on dont bash on any quad just cause you dont like them. Each manufactor has its good quads and its bad quads. live with it and respect other peoples rides

so back to my original question, would anybody trade their quad for it? so far i know it has cut fenders, nerfbars, rear numberplate, probably a k&n filter there's a few k&n stickers on it, air scoops, and a white bros exhaust i think. oh and some hoosier tires which i'll swap with klaws probably. not sure of anything else, it's hard to tell by the pics

you know sometime in life you just have to say screw it i'm doing it and hope for the best , if you don't want it simply do not get it . if your willing to take a chance in life and see where it leads ya GO FOR IT . its a quad not a house!

my personal opinion i would love to try a predator and see what comes out of it.

don't get me wrong i'll be riding it. i'll probably be forced to keep it for at least a month before my mom will let me get rid of it for something else. and i'm sure i won't be real disappointed with it, i just don't want a predator. but i'll live

because we're getting 2 of them for really cheap. they're not the greatest condition so we're just going to fix them, and plus i don't have much of a choice the mom is paying.

we're only going to be paying like 2000 for both, i don't know why we would scrap that idea. i could get them and probably sell each of them for like 2000. we're going to keep one though, my bro really likes'em so he'll probably keep his. but i want a 400ex so i'll be selling mine like a month or so after
