Hey guys

Im no expert with quads but i was trying to change sparkplug on my 400 ex and i couldnt get a normal sparkplug socket to fit. So my question is; is there a special socket to buy so that it fits properly

Thank you

I use a regular Craftsman 18mm deep well socket with no problem. Some say a thin wall socket is needed. You could try a lawnmower/small engine shop to find a stock style plug wrench.

rockymountainatvmc.com sales a spark plug socket especially designed for the 400ex engine runs you about 20.99 plus 7 for shipping or go to rivamotorsports.com and do the whole speil on picking your make, model, year then go all the way down to tools to order the complete tool kit original kit W/bag for only 15.87 plus 7 for shipping hope i helped.

You can order the stock plug wrench from Honda for about $8 (ServiceHonda). It's just a cheaply made tool but it works well. I think SeviceHonda's minimum shipping cost is $9 so take the opportunity to get all those little OEM bits and pieces that you've lost/worn out to make the shipping cost worthwhile.

Just a though.

stand it up on its grab bar, then maybe you can see the hole (if your a tall guy) and make it fit
