I live in Virginia and I was wondering if anyone knew what i have to do to be able to drive a bike like an xr50/crf50 on the roads. The only reason I need to do this is because in order for me to be able to drive it in my neighborhood it must be legal with the state. So if you guys have any information than that would be a huge help.

where i live you have to be 15 with a photo id and it has to be 50cc or smaller but if you bore it and it still says 50 or below on the cylinder your fine ans long os the graphics dont say like 108

ya i have my driver's license so thats not an issue. do you have to have like turn signals or anything? and do you have to get it registered with the state and have tags and everything on it?

not in indiana you dont we have mopeds and they have turn signals but as long as it is 50 and below i am almost positive you dont have to and no we dont have liscense plates or anything like that for them

I used to ride my little brother pw50 around the roads all the time...a couple friends had motor scooters and we would just take a day and ride all over town. I rode past a stopped cop that was out of his car, i stopped and even talked to him. IDK if its the cops around here or what but they dont care

here in indiana you have to put a headlight on and brake light. when i had my 50, i always rode it up town to get my mail, and one day the cop saw me and pulled me over and said that all i have to do is a headlight and a brake light.

Check you local laws but here in MD it must be 49cc (not 50cc) or less. not sure about the blinkers, etc...
