Guys,

I need some help. I am trying to remove the carb choke from the handle bars on a 2002 Raptor. I want to eliminate the cable all together.

Has any of you done this?
If so, can you tell me how you were able to still have the choke but at the carb instead that at the handle bars?

Thanks

I have seen some people using motorcycle chokes like what you would find on a Harley, that way the choke cable is on the carb. You could always just make something up too, like cut the cable short about 3 inches from the carb and put a small ball of some sort to be able pull it.

Dirtdevil,

Thanks for the feedback.

My first thought was to cut the cable and fabricate something that would work. I was hoping there was an aftermarket gadget, but it seems like there is none.

Thanks

I'm only a back-yard machanic.

But I would think the choke off off a utility quad(like my beartracker has a pull-in and out choke on the side) which runs the same size carb would be able to be fabricated.
