View Full Version : 400ex blowing oil out vent tube

I HAVE A 400EX THAT WAS JUST PUT TOGETHER AND
IT IS BLOWING OIL OUT OF THE VENT TUBE.
ANY ADVICE.

Im guessing you put to much oil in your quad.

DOESNT HAVE TO MUCH OIL. TRIPLE CHECKED .

hey, how far did you have the engine torn down first..if you had the case halves apart...then ur case have gasket more than likely squished out. theirs one spot on the 400ex where the gasket spilts of like in two places...right by where the breather tube connects to the crankcase..well that inner part of the gasket likes to slide out when ur puttin ur halves together so when u run it it sux the oil up thru that spot into the vent into ur airbox....i know...i have been their done that..but i could be wrong wit ur situation tho...
