05 450r help!!

Im looking to buy a 450r and i heard that the 05's locked up becuase something with the crank. Is this all 05's or just some?Would you recommend getting a 05 or not. Thanks

Its not all 05's. It happened to my 04. But its a low %. This would not stop me from buying a 04-05 at all. 06 is a new motor but im sure it will have some problems with some time. every motor has its problem.

Very few people have had crank bearing failures. It seems worse than it really is because bad news travels fast, and no one posts up to say they haven't had any problems.

Even if you did happen to get a bad motor, Honda should replace it even if you're out of warranty. So far I haven't seen a single person claim Honda wouldn't supply them with a new motor free of charge.

They didnt want to help me ! A 04 with 6 hours. It sat for 2 years with two hours on it when I got it.
