The third round of the worcs series, was held in Lake Havasu Arizona, home of the London Bridge.

Before arriving to the track, you must cross over the London Bridge, over the water, and past the Casinos. Which some visit later for some gambling.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:20 PM
Havasu is one of the most brutal tracks on the worcs circuit. It is very sandy and ruts out very quickly. The track is a lot of ups and down and is mainly ran in this canyon.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:21 PM
Not to mention, that the track is ran right by the lake.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:22 PM
In fact, your riding so close to the water, you could even stop to take a quick dip if you wanted to.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:23 PM
This is what they call the "Horse Shoe" area, which is where the riders pit crews wait patiently as they watch their rider go by every lap.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:24 PM
They even have an area for you to wash your quad at.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:24 PM
Spectators even watch the race from their boats.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:28 PM
There is even an area of over flow from the lake, that has formed some what of a pond that attracted the ducks. There where even some racers who decided to go fishing after the races.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:34 PM
But on with the racing.

It was Pete Garcia who grabbed the holeshot in the Production A class beating out 26 other riders.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:36 PM
Ed Franco, also running the Production A class, was putting on a strong race and showing that he was very consistent. Ed finished fourth in the Production A class, allowing him to qualify for the Pro-Am race.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:39 PM
But it was Pete Garcia who took the win in the Production A class. Pete also took the win in the Open A class, and was leading the +30 A class when he broke his spindle putting him into the lake. So although he did qualify for the Pro-Am class, he was not able to run it.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:44 PM
Paul Wilkerson seemed to be having some difficulties with the track. Paul finished 10th in the Production A class, and fourth overall in the Pro-Am class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:46 PM
Brain Harris Finished fifth in the +30 C class. Brian is not just a racer, but also a father of two racers, and his wife does some racing on the side. Talk about FAMILY SPORT

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:48 PM
In fact, here is Brian Harris's son, Tommy grabbing the holeshot for his class the 71-90 cc mod.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:52 PM
With 16 racers on the line, the Women’s B/C class is growing more then ever. Shortly after this picture was taken a few of the riders got tangled up. Unfortunately this sent one of the female riders to the hospital, but we are glad to report that she is ok.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:53 PM
The race was restarted, and it was Christy McGuffin and Tia Chandler out front.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:54 PM
But it was Christy McGuffin who came out on top to take the win for the Women's B/C class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:56 PM
Unfortunately for the Women's A class it is A LOT smaller. There where to women’s for this class, but with the growing B/C class, it should not be long before there are more girls running in the top.

It was Lynn Prosser who took the win for the Women's A class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 07:57 PM
Brittany Bloodworth took the second place for the Women's class, after starting a few minutes late after having some bike problems.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:00 PM
Another class that is starting to get big everywhere, is the Rhino Class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:02 PM
These guys where even going three wide over the jumps.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:03 PM
But there were not just guys out there, there was even a female driver.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:06 PM
Another fun race to watch is the team race, Christy McGuffin teamed up with Lynn Prosser to take the win for the B Class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:07 PM
Brittany Bloodworth, even teamed up with her mom Debbie to run the C class team race.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:15 PM
And the Pros where off, with 19 riders on the line, we where all wondering who would grab the holeshot.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:15 PM
And it looked as if it would be Eichner grabbing the holeshot off the start.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:17 PM
But the firs few quads had some problems, and Eichner was pushed off the burm and he had a little bit of trouble getting the bike started again.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:18 PM
Here is Eichner getting pushed off of the track.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:19 PM
Here are two other riders that got tangled up in the mess.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:20 PM
Nick Hengtgen was out front for the pro class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:28 PM
And the pro am riders where quick to get off the line, and start chasing down those pros.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:30 PM
It was Josh Frederick was leading the pro class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:31 PM
But Doug Eichner was charging hard, and had made up a lot of lost time.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:32 PM
Justin Waters had moved into the first place position for the Pro Am class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:35 PM
Bradon Brown was charging hard and running in the fifth place.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:37 PM
Chris Riley, who had just moved up to the pro class this year, showed that with time to come he can be up there with the top pros. Chris was running in about the eighth spot.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:38 PM
Doug was moving in on Frederick, and moving in fast.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:39 PM
Phil Dampier, who seems to not be able to get a little bit of luck, had some problems, and was forced to end early.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:41 PM
Eichner made the pass of Frederick, shortly after crashing in the pits. Fortunately for Eichner Frederick was forced to pit, after have some motor problems.

Eichner takes some time out to wave to the camera.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:42 PM
Nick Hengtgen was running a good strong race, but you could tell that he was getting tired.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:43 PM
Frederick was forced to push his quad to the finish line, and watch the rest of his race.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:45 PM
Allowing Doug Eichner to have an easy first place win.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:46 PM
Zack Herrera took home the second place position for the pro class.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:47 PM
And Robbie Mitchell took home the third place position for the weekend.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:47 PM
And Justin Waters took home the win for the Pro-Am class

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:48 PM
Eichner took home his first win for the 2006 season, and was happ to be interviewed right as he got off the track.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:49 PM
Eichner, joined by his son Devin, stepped onto the number one spot on the podium.

quadchick01
03-14-2006, 08:49 PM
Eichner was glad to give his speel as he was interviewed.

Whats it matter that it was restarted....she was in the second start, and my sister got the holeshot, not her...

No offense to Christy...but my sister DOES deserve the credit...
