I'm thinking about getting a used quad sometime and the 400ex seems pretty nice and I rode one before and its got nice power. But do you think it is worth getting a 400 when there are 450s out there? Would I be better off with a 450 or a 400? Or even a 250R? I do mostly trail riding and hill climbing. Sometimes a little mud. A little racing is fun too.

If I would go with the 400, what kind Suzuki, Kawasaki or Honda? If I would go with a 450, what kind Yamaha, Honda, or Suzuki? Or a 250R? Is there a year that any of these quads were made best? Take consederation of what kind of riding I do. What do you think is a good quad for the type of riding I do if it is not listed here? Post why you chose that quad and some reasons why you like your quad and post a pic too!

400ex or 450r will both be good choices

and you can pretty much remove the ltr450 from the equation since its like 8 feet wide

I have always had yamaha until i got my 450 but i honestly like how the yamaha rides more but that could be just bc i have never had a honda til now and they feel so different but forsure get the 450 i smoke fully modded 400's by alot and the extra money would be worth it trust me!!!!!!

go with a 400ex u dont need the 450 ur not racing or anything and if u want race alittle bit the 400ex will do it, plus if u dont wanna be wrenching all the time the 400ex is the perfect quad

there not that bad but i mean there racing motors u have to do alot more maintance to a 450 than a 400ex. period 400ex will go to hell and back and will still run like new 450
