which is better?

I was just wondering which of the following were a better all around quad:

400ex
kfx400
z400
predator500


also are the z400 and kfx400 just was quick as a 400ex?

First of all, for the most part the difference b/w the z and the kfx iz yellow and green.

with that out of the way.


If you are looking for the best all around quad, rule out the Pred. They are quick but too heavy IMO to be considered good all around.

Its between the z/kfx and the 400ex... me being brand loyal to honda, i say the ex

The z/kfx is an all-around better quad, and you get more for your money. I'm not sure on the 06 400ex upgrades. but as of 2005 the z/kfx's had piggyback rezzie shocks where as the ex didn't. Also carrying reverse(i think honda got this for 06). They also respond better to a pipe.

Go to your local dealer and even the honda dealer will tell you the z/kfx is a better bang for the buck.

The only arguement the honda fans will say is that the honda is the most reliable which can't really be proven cause the 05z/kfx is when all there first years crap was finally fixed.

400ex is outdated

the only thing i like about the ex is the stance, but i think a harder seat sittin higher up you can control it better, but im prolly just use to it
