how hard to rebuild the crankshaft on a 1985 lt250 quadracer. some guy is selling one near me for $800. is it a big deal to fix?

Brand new crank from Ronnies is only $454.

he asked how hard not how much.. its a pretty hard job if you have no experience.. you have to split the cases and chances are when you take it apart it probally needs a new piston and rings

i have never messedd around in the bottem end before but i think i could probably manage it if i bought the repair manual.... is it worth the trouble??

If you need a repair manual let me know ... I think I still have my old one sitting out in the garage .... it's brand new with a few greasy fingerprints in the electrical section .

I'll have to go and see where I put it and what year it's for ... but I'm pretty sure it covers all years .

Oh sorry I had a brain lapse ... DUHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!

And it's not that hard to fix .... I blew out the crank on my 92 LT250r and it was pretty simple to disassemble ... I'm sure it would have been just as easy to put back together also .
