400ex carb conversion

What all do I need to do to make a 400ex carb work on my 300 with a full fmf exhaust, a stage 3 web cam, and a high comp piston.

Will my 300 throttle cable work, all advice will be appreciated

I'm pretty sure the 300ex cable works. If not the 400ex cable WILL fit up to the 300ex thumb throttle.

The 400ex carb to the 300ex air boot going to the air box will be tight. You can either heat it up and stretch it some.. or replace it with a 350x air boot.

Other than that, you just need to rejet it for the 300ex.. and your set.

I haven't actually installed one, but from what I know of the 2 quads, it should be a very simple swap.

The stock cable will work. Also get an ATC 350X air boot. www.servicehonda.com has some. I had this set up on mine. Ran like a champ.

the stock 300ex air tube will work but you may have to heat it some.the stock throttle cable will work as well.:)

ok guys thanks alot for the info, would you know what size jets I should start with, since it's supose to have a stage 3 web cam, and a high comp piston, and a full fmf exhaust?
