Does 06 need the aftermarket link?

I am interested in getting a spring kit and revalve of my stock 06 450R shocks, but I am wondering if replacing the link is necessary on the 06 450R.

Coming from experience on my 06, yes it still needs a new linkage. Its not as bad as the 04/05, but the bucking is still there. Im sending me Elkas and stock rear shock to JH Racing, and hes gonna throw in a rear linkage too.

If your just a moderate trail rider than no you would probably be fine.


If you ride/race at a fast pace and hit ruts frequently definetly..

With the proper valving and setup the rear link on the 06 450 works really well.
