Aftermarket Linkage

I'm running a XC race 400EX. Are these aftermarket linkages worth the investment? Can I still use my stock shock with say .... a GT thunder or Elka link? Which one is better and why? I've read they hang lower off your swinger, so are they any good for XC racing?

they do make a difference...with the gt thunder link, you can use your stock shock, it just has to be revalved for the different progression ratio...the total cost is about 265 for the new link, revalve, and shipping back to you, unless you weigh over 220(or somehwere i there). then you will need a new srping and that ups the price...
