ok i was wondering i just seriously ****ed up my original motor and i figured "**** it" i'll put a bigger one on it because im tired of gettin passed by everyone when we all ride any way so i figured i'd put either a 350x,400ex, or cr500 motor i was just wondering if it could be done and if it would be expensive?

You would be better off just getting a 400ex, or 450r. The 400ex isn't that expensive and has much better suspension.

the 350x engine bolts in i think w/ new engine brakcets, maybe, lol, but i know many ppl have done it, i saw a cr500 in a 300 in dirtwheels, and also a 400ex motor, but i dont know wat type of work was involved

yeah the silver one in dirt wheels had a cr500 engine it loooks awsome for a 300... it will take time to fab the engine mounts and aline the chain and sprockets.

400ex motors are crazy expensive

a 350x is probably the easiest to do, but IMHO just buy a bigger bike.

The 350X engine is probably the easiest. There are companies that actually make a kit to bolt right in. No cutting or welding of the frame, you can later switch back to the 300EX motor if you want. All it takes is a little grinding on one of the mounts on the motor.

It does require a custom exhaust, but the same company that makes the kit also makes an exhaust, so you can buy it from them or make one yourself.

However, honestly, a 400EX will be better in the long run. It has much better suspension and potential for upgrades.
