Does anyone have a 2005 or 2006 Toyota Tacoma short bed that they use to carry their LTR450 in? How well does it fit on the wheel wells? Thanks!

My LTR fit in my buddies Tacoma with no problem. The wheel wells keep it in without the need for tie downs..

Do the front tires rest on the floor board? Or wedged inbetween the wheel wells? His is a 05 or 06, correct? Thanks!

His truck is a 98 but I doubt there is any consequental difference in the bed sizes that would hurt. The beds usually grow not shrink over the years.

As far as how it fit: It rolled over the wheel well and sat flat on the bed floor with the front wheels in front of the wheel wells. The rear wheels fit in the bed as well. If I did not know better I would say that Toyata envisioned an LTR in the bed of your truck!! It fits like it belongs in there.

cool, thanks for the info, but my bed is shorter and the wheel wells are at the front of the bed, so the LTR tires will have to go in between the wheel wells or on top of them. Anyone out there with a 2005 or newer double cab short bed. Thanks!

go to the dealer and ask them to help you lift it into the bed to see if it does or not.

Well I got my LTR450 and its exactly the wrong width for the bed of the truck. Its too wide to rest on the bed floor and too skinny to rest on the wheel wells. But I still like it. :)
